Beloved King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has approved the decisions adopted recently by the Higher Education Council and issued a royal decree promoting Al Yamamah College to a University on 29 Dec. 08.

In this regard, Mr. Khalid Al-Khudair, Chairperson of the University’s Board of Trustees gratefully thanked his royal highness and the crown prince for the approval and their continued support of the Kingdom’s higher education. He also thanked Dr. Khaled Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education for his support of Al Yamamah ever since it was established.

 “Promoting Al Yamamah to a university is one part of a strategy that aims to develop the Kingdom’s higher education and falls within the ministry of higher education’s efforts to support private educational institutions, especially competent and qualified ones” stated Mr. Al-Khudair. “This promotion is a great opportunity for us to establish new colleges and add new programs. At the same time, it increases our responsibilities and challenges as we have to keep up with this success and make sure to provide high quality programs and attract highly qualified and distinctive faculty members” he added.
