King Khalid International Airport: King Khalid International Airport (IATA: RUH, ICAO: OERK) is located 35 kilometers (about 21.75 miles) north of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, designed by the architectural firm of Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum.
The airport includes terminals, a mosque, a control tower and two parallel runways each 4200 meters long. It is the gateway to the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its heartland and is the national air transport center. It has been constructed to meet the increasing international and local air transport requirements of the Riyadh region.
The city of Riyadh is served by a modern major highway system. The main Eastern Ring Road connects the city's south and north while Northern Ring Road connects the city's east and west. King Fahd Road runs through the center of the city from north to south, in parallel with the East Ring Road. Makkah Road (also known as Khurais Road) runs east-west across the city's center, connects eastern parts of the city with the city's main business district and the diplomatic quarters.
Al Yamamah University is about 30 to 45 minutes or 40 kilometers (about 27 miles) from Riyadh’s international airport: King Khalid International Airport.
