Tuition and Scholarships: The university sets modest tuition levels that are affordable for students. It also makes every attempt to ensure that academic excellence is supported and rewarded through a variety of scholarship programs that aim to promote diversity at the university.
Fees for 2010 – 2011:
- Registration fees: S.R. 2,500
- Placement test fees: S.R. 500
- Tuition per semester in the College of Business Administration: S.R. 20,000
- Tuition per semester in the College of Computing and IT: S.R. 25,000
Scholarships:
1. Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khudair Scholarship Program:
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khudair has a notable history of fostering educational opportunity in Saudi Arabia and promoting academic excellence. As a gesture that reflects his deep commitment, he has established the Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khudair Scholarship Program that seeks to support academically talented students and encourage them to maintain their efforts by shouldering 50% of their tuition fees while they hone their knowledge at Al Yamamah University.
Eligibility requirements: Students who meet the following criteria are eligible for the Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khudair Scholarship:
- Meet Al Yamamah University admission requirements
- Possess a high school grade average of 85% or higher
- Possess a score of 80% or higher on the General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) offered by National Center for Assessment in Higher Education
- Pass Al Yamamah University’s English placement test
- Pass Al Yamamah University’s interview
- Must not have enrolled in any other scholarship program
- Intent to study a discipline that is offered by Al Yamamah University
- The scholarship panel will evaluate qualities such as: leadership, creativity, motivation and participation in extracurricular activities
- Exhibit good conduct (must not have any disciplinary action taken against him/her)
Coverage of scholarship: The scholarship covers from 50% to 100% of tuition depending on the student’s grades and the evaluation of the scholarship panel.
2. Ministry of Higher Education Scholarship Program:
Students at Al Yamamah University can apply for a scholarship from the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), provided that they meet all applicable eligibility requirements. Click here to go to the MOHE scholarship website and view the requirements (Arabic).
