One of the oldest universities in the world, The University of Oxford, and one of the newest, Al Yamamah University, have joined together in a YU-OU Collaboration Agreement to provide extraordinary educational and community opportunities to the people of Riyadh and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

YU EMBA students and other qualified members of the greater Riyadh community will be able to enroll at Oxford University, through YU, in the following two postgraduate (master’s level) programs:

• The Oxford Diploma in Organizational Leadership
• The Oxford Diploma in Financial Strategy

The Oxford Diploma in Organizational Leadership
This master’s-level, postgraduate qualification is designed for executives who need a deeper understanding of how to manage people and organizations in order to develop their careers to the highest level.  The Diploma is a part-time modular program, allowing participants to combine studying in England with a demanding career in Saudi Arabia.  It is based on four modules and a business project, linking together the key areas of strategic management, organizational development and leadership while equipping participants with the knowledge needed to compete globally for general management roles.

Participants in the one-year Diploma program will fly to England for four week-long class sessions, and will engage in preparatory study prior to going to OU for their classes.  In addition, the Diploma students will have follow-up assignments for each module-course.  Students who successfully complete each module-course will have their grade transcripted at OU, and the transcript will be forwarded to YU for YU EMBA students who wish to receive dual credit for their study.  As a part of the YU-OU Collaboration Agreement, YU EMBA students who complete this program will have met the Concentration/Free Electives requirement for the YU EMBA, and will need to complete only 17 of the 20 EMBA classes at YU to earn their YU EMBA.

The Oxford Diploma in Financial Strategy
This master’s-level, postgraduate qualification is designed for executives and other finance professionals who seek rigorous and intellectually demanding training in strategic management, as well as finance and management control systems. Designed to equip those who wish to extend their knowledge and broaden their skills base in preparation for their next senior role, the program is based on four modules-courses of teaching taught over four full days in January, April, June and September, thereby allowing participants to complete the Diploma in one year.  Students who successfully complete each module-course will have their grade transcripted at OU, and the transcript will be forwarded to YU for YU EMBA students who wish to receive dual credit for their study.  As a part of the YU-OU Collaboration Agreement, YU EMBA students who complete this program will have met the Concentration/Free Electives requirement for the YU EMBA, and will need to complete only 17 of the 20 EMBA classes at YU to earn their YU EMBA.
