The YU EMBA program is designed for early -and mid- career managers and entrepreneurs who are committed to taking on greater challenges and effecting significant improvements in their organization(s).
YU Executive MBA features:
- A comprehensive program consisting of 20+ months of classes; the design of YU EMBA rests on three guiding principles: efficiency, flexibility and balance. The schedule minimizes time away from work, maximizes in-class and study team learning, and promotes a healthy balance between learning and living.
- An all English language curriculum.
- The case model approach in all classes.
- Course delivery in an intensive mode over a period of five to nine consecutive days of instruction.
- The required purchasing and reading of the assigned texts two weeks in advance of each monthly course.
- A final examination and/or course research paper after the end of each course.
- Student contact with the faculty member via email up to two weeks before the start of the class sessions, and for two weeks after the completion of the lecture/discussion part of each course.
- YU EMBA students and other qualified members of the greater Riyadh community will be able to enroll at Oxford University, through YU, to get a postgraduate (master’s level) diploma in Organizational Leadership, “The Oxford Diploma in Organizational Leadership”, and/or in Financial Strategy “The Oxford Diploma in Financial Strategy”.
- The Portland State University will award, through YU, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management to students who successfully complete four EMBA courses taught by PSU faculty. Students who choose to spend one summer at PSU will be able to earn the PSU Post Graduate Diploma in Global Marketing, and simultaneously fulfill the four elective course requirements in the YU EMBA.
- The Hochschule Furtwangen University will award, through YU, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management to students who successfully complete four EMBA courses taught by HFU faculty.
- Students pursuing the YU EMBA do not have to complete a thesis, just an Individual Project. However, if they utilize their Individual Project to write a thesis that receives the approval of The Hochschule Furtwangen University, then HFU will award a dual EMBA to the student in recognition of HFU's participation in the YU EMBA program, as well as the completion of the thesis.
- In order to provide additional opportunities to YU EMBA graduates to enhance both their technical expertise and grasp of the dynamics of the international business environment, graduates of the YU EMBA program will have available an option whereby they may earn a second MBA degree through Hochschule Furtwangen University of Baden-Wuerttemberg (HFU) in Germany in Project & Systems Management by completing eight (8) additional courses over two summers in Germany.
